YORIOSHOW ART LAB will be holding its first solo exhibition, "(from) cover to cover," at Gallery S.AHN in Nakameguro, Tokyo.
A variety of art pieces created specifically for this exhibition will be on display and for sale at the venue.
These works were created through a process different from that of "yorioshow," and while they offer a new dimension to their expression, they are firmly connected to our worldview.
The act of "covering"
By drawing complex phenomena into a space of introspection and quietly reexamining them, each work was elevated to a unique form.
The moment when the boundaries between visible and invisible, inside and outside, begin to gently waver.
I am attempting to give form to such feelings through this series of works.
We hope you will experience the new realm of expression expanding from the world of art within the ever-changing context of CUIRISM.

YORIOSHOW ART LAB
An art project by a Japanese-Taiwanese artisan duo.
Based on abstract expression, he constructs his own material symbols using leather as his primary medium.
Taking the theme of "the exhaustion of freedom and material balance," he transforms and reconstructs existing methods of expression into leather.
He explores new practical processes, formal possibilities, and the expansion of the realm of expression.

Yorio Tsuji
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
Based on abstract sculpture, he explores the interrelationship between the generation of materiality derived from organic forms and bodily and sensory perception.
In the "Abstract Vail" series, he combines the different material properties of soft and hard materials to create forms that evoke a sense of movement, floating, and life.
These physical images can be seen as an attempt to create a new focal point of perception in space - a "point of perception."
⸻
Show Change
Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Based on abstract painting, his practice extends the lineage of Post-Painterly Abstraction, Color Field, and Hard Edge to leather.
In the "Abstract Wall" series, abstract murals composed of layers of color are presented in space, centered around flat and three-dimensional forms and clear contours, encouraging visual and conceptual interpretation.
This expression can be seen as an attempt to create a realm of sensibility that unfolds into space - a "plane of perception."

YORIOSHOW ART LAB Exhibition 2025
“(from) cover to cover” at Gallery S.AHN
YORIOSHOW ART LAB is delighted to present our first solo exhibition under individual artist names, “(from) cover to cover,” to be held at Gallery S.AHN in Nakameguro, Tokyo.
The exhibition will feature a diverse selection of art pieces created specifically for this occasion, all of which will be available for purchase.
Although these works arise from a process distinct from our practice as yorioshow, they expand into new expressions while remaining firmly connected to the continuum of our world.
“To cover” —
By drawing complex phenomena into a space of introspection and quietly reexamining them, each piece has been sublimated into its own singular form.
Moments in which the boundary between the visible and invisible, the interior and exterior, gently begins to waver—those sensations are what we seek to materialize through these works.
We would be honored if you could take the time to experience this new realm of expression within the evolving context of CUIRISM.

YORIOSHOW ART LAB
The art project by a Japanese–Taiwanese artisan duo.
Rooted in abstract expression, the project constructs its own material semiotics through leather as a primary medium.
With “The Exhaustion of Freedom and Material Equilibrium” as its central theme, it seeks to translate and reconstruct existing modes of expression into leather, exploring new processes of practice, morphological possibilities, and the expansion of expressive domains.

Yorio Tsuji
Born in Kanagawa, Japan.
Working from a foundation in abstract sculpture, Tsuji investigates the generation of materiality derived from organic forms and the interrelation between the body and sensory perception.
In the 《Abstract Vail》 series, contrasting material qualities—soft and rigid—are combined to create forms that evoke motion, weightlessness, and a sense of life.
These materialized figures may be regarded as an attempt to establish new focal points of reception within space — “points of perception.”

Show Change
Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Based on abstract painting, Chang expands the lineages of Post-Painterly Abstraction, Color Field, and Hard-Edge painting into the realm of leather.
In the 《Abstract Wall》 series, planar and volumetric forms with distinct contours are used to construct “abstract murals” shaped by layered color, presenting them within space and prompting visual and conceptual interpretation.
This practice can be understood as an attempt to form a domain of sensibility unfolding into space — “planes of perception.”
